Secret City Records received a whopping twelve ADISQ nominations yesterday. The equivalent of Quebec’s Grammy’s or Juno’s, the annual awards cover everything from the top albums to the best performances of the year. Patrick Watson and his band received eight nominations, including Anglo album of the year, for Adventures in Your Own Backyard; The Barr Brothers received two for their self-titled debut, which was released by Secret City almost one year ago now; and Secret City received its first-ever nomination for Label of the Year. The awards are given out over the course of three different events at the end of October. A full list of Secret City’s nominations are below. More details can be had at http://www.adisq.com/.
