Today we roll ahead with another installment of the staggered album reveal of La La Land. And no, if you’re just catching up now, this isn’t an April Fools joke.
“Undone Melody” might be the best track on the record, if not also its emotional centerpiece. One of the only songs to have been fleshed-out and played on tour before the band went to record (they debuted it in Montreal in late 2008), fans of previous P&A songs like “Faerie Dance” and “Lola Who?” will see the logical progression here. At six minutes it’s not the longest song they’ve ever recorded, but it certainly stands up as one of their most epic and immediately engaging. Don’t be fooled by the gentle entry; this one gets heavy. Enjoy.
