The wait is over! Yesterday marked the Canadian release of Patrick Watson’s new album, Adventures in Your Own Backyard. It’s already tearing up the charts and has critics raving. The album is available on CD and LP in fine record stores across the country, digitally on iTunes, via mail order from Amazon.ca and as always, directly from us.
To mark the occasion of the new release, Watson has unveiled a video that embodies the spirit of the album, a mini-documentary shot on location in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec last year at the Festival de musique émergente. The first of a series of ‘Backyard’ vignettes, it features Watson conversing in French with a local of the region, playing piano in his livingroom before an outdoor neighbourhood concert.
