A few days after the Premier Gala de l’ADISQ, where he was nominated in the “Anglophone Concert of the Year” category, Jesse Mac Cormack returns with a new single entitled “Come Home.” In the same spirit as his previous release, “All Mine,” “Come Home” is a very intense electronic track. Jesse took his fans by surprise a few weeks ago by giving a free concert under the Van Horne overpass, where the audience got to hear several upcoming new songs.
Mac Cormack explains his inspiration, taken from a turbulent era of his life: “The lyrics ‘Why can’t you come home’ reflect a relationship hitting some snags, with neither reconciliation nor separation seeming like good options. The bridge breaks the flow, mirroring the intensity of a hot-tempered argument between a couple. This track possesses underlying aggressivity, acting as a catalyst for the buried anger I felt during this difficult period.”
The song is accompanied by a visualizer, shot during his concert at the Festival de Jazz de Montréal in July. It perfectly captures the frenzied energy of his live performances.
