Basia Bulat’s Shimmering New Album “Basia’s Palace” Out Today

Montreal-based artist Basia Bulat today released her lush and shimmering new album Basia’s Palace on vinyl and CD. The most searching record of her career was co-produced by Bulat with frequent collaborator Mark Lawson (who worked with her on previous albums Tall Tall Shadow and The Garden), mixed by legendary engineer Tucker Martine (Beth Orton, Neko Case, The National), and features string arrangements by Grammy-nominated Drew Jurecka (Dua Lipa, Metric, Alvvays). Following the support tour with Efterklang in January, Bulat also announces a full European tour including stops in Berlin, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Stockholm and more, kicking off on June 3rd, 2025. Tickets are on sale now. Click here.

The album includes gently sweeping new single “Daylight,” about which Bulat explains: “I wrote so much of this album in the middle of the night, when it felt like the world of dreams and the ‘real world’ were finding moments to meet. I realized how much I had separated the two and wanted to invite that space between them to get smaller. This song became a way to remind myself to ‘consciously’ invite that energy in more, and evolved into a meditation on showing compassion to yourself through exploring your dreams.”
